Papaya has invited me to work with it in more than one way. The first invitation was to tincture the seeds which have a very peppery taste. I was intuitively guided to explore them not only for digestive health but also for cleansing the body of parasites.
Papaya also invited me to make a flower essence. Here is the story of it's creation and the lessons it has taught me/the energies it has shared with me.
We stayed at a temporary location our first month in Hawaii. In some ways it was really nice to be in a shared space and start off our stay here with people close by but it was also a really tough time living in shared space and being enmeshed in the energy of others during such a huge transformation that the moving process ignites. Living by the rules of others that don’t align with you can quickly zap your energy. We had a papaya tree growing alongside our lanai. It had been flowering the week prior to our checking out of the temporary place but I couldn’t quite reach it although I really wanted to. A few days before we moved out, the tree fell and invited me to use its flowers for essence. I quickly scooped up the flowers before the tree was cleaned out of the walkway and put them in a travel mug filled with water ( I didn’t have any jars at the time). The essence sat like this in a dark closet for a few days until we moved to our new home and I was able to finish the mother. After moving, Papaya revealed to me that it is a medicine for energetic cord cutting. Papaya essence calls me into the here and now and asks for stark, immediate presence.
